For the selected technologies:
Most of our energy is generated by burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and gas), which release carbon dioxide (CO2).
This CO2 is a greenhouse gas that traps heat in the atmosphere, causing the climate to change.
To tackle climate change we must cut down on our use of fossil fules. We can do this by using alternative technologies to generate the energy that we use.
These 'alternative technologies' are the subject of this website.
